Questions to ask Your Doctor
If you've decided to get breast enlargement surgery, there are several things you must do before you go under the knife. Always remember that this surgery is just that–a surgery. Therefore, you should always ask your doctor plenty of questions to ensure you have all the information necessary to make the right decision.
What follows is a list of breast enlargement questions you should ask your surgeon.
Breast Enlargement Questions
1.Are you board certified by the American Board of Plastic surgery? If the answer is no, don't walk, run out of the office. Certification is one of the best standards for ensuring a doctor is qualified to handle your procedure.
2.Do you have before and after photos? Most experienced surgeons have an archive of before and after photos from their various surgeries. Viewing these will give you the best indication of the type of work your surgeon is capable of doing.
3.Are my goals realistic? You need to have a surgeon on your side who understands your needs, but is also willing to tell you how it is. Explain what you want to the surgeon, and listen to their expert opinion on the matter.
4.What are the potential risks and complications? This is one of the most important breast implant questions to ask. Remember, this is a serious medical procedure that has many potential risks and side effects. Have your surgeon fully explain all potential problems so that you can make the most informed decision possible.
5.Which do you prefer, silicone or saline? Each surgeon has their own preferences when it comes to breast implant surgery. Some only feel comfortable working with a particular brand and type of implant. It's what they know best, and they refuse to use anything else.
6.Which type of incision do you prefer? This is another important breast implant question because it affects how precise your implant will be placed and the level of scarring you'll experience. Again, many surgeons prefer one type of incision, and they aren't comfortable handling anything else.
